A clear standard hourly rate for bookkeeping work.

Standard hourly rate: £30 per hour. Jayne Marie Bookkeeping charges one clear hourly rate for bookkeeping work. The final cost depends on the actual time required.

Monthly bookkeeping

Routine bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, ledger processing, receipt organisation and basic reporting are charged at the standard hourly rate.

VAT support where agreed

VAT support can be included where it is within the agreed bookkeeping scope. The client remains responsible for reviewing and approving returns before submission.

Catch-up bookkeeping

Historical cleanup and messy records are charged at the same hourly rate. An estimate can be given after reviewing the records, but poor records can take longer than expected.

Xero support

Xero setup and support directly related to bookkeeping records can be included within the agreed scope.

Estimate protection: work is charged based on time spent. Any estimate given before reviewing records is not a fixed quote unless confirmed in writing.
Records warning: incomplete, late, unclear or badly organised records may increase the time required and therefore the final fee.
Not included unless agreed in writing: tax planning, year-end accounts, corporation tax advice, personal tax returns, payroll, CIS, Companies House filings, legal advice, investment advice or insolvency advice.
